Quantifying involvement with the criminal justice system is complex. Information on individuals who are currently imprisoned in New York City and New York State correctional facilities is available on the internet. By comparing this data at regular intervals with the list of former residents, we were able to track how many of the group were incarcerated on particular dates. The results for a two year period (October, 2023- October, 2025) are shown below. On average slightly less than 10% (9.44%) of the cohort was incarcerated.

Further analyses are anticipated.
